Submitting Your Annual Pledge
Your pledge is your offering to God in thanksgiving for all His many blessings. In ancient Israel, it was customary for such offerings to be presented before the altar of the temple. At St. Alban’s, we continue to honor that ancient tradition by inviting families to place their pledge cards in a basket set before the altar on each of our two Pledge Sundays. This year, those Sundays are November 4 and November 11. Typically, pledge cards are placed in the basket as you approach the rail to receive the Holy Eucharist. Presenting your pledge in this manner is not obligatory by any means. Some of us have personal reasons for not wishing to pledge in this manner.
